Local students graduate from Angelo State

Claiborne’s Thriftway has had large scrolls painted on their front windows and is inviting this year’s graduates from Lamesa and area high schools to come by and sign their names on the scrolls. Graduates should go inside to the service desk to obtain a marker to be used for that purpose.
Several students from Lamesa and the surrounding area have been included on either the President’s List or Dean’s Lists for the 2020 Spring semester at South Plains College (SPC).
The lobby and dine-in remain closed until further notice. We continue offering curb side meal service on the south side of the building starting at 11 am and until 12:15 for seniors 60 and over. We will continue delivering home delivered meals to our existing clients.
After being closed for about two months due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Dawson County Public Library is slated to open its doors again next Monday, according to library Director Angela Martinez.
Officials with the Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a parade to recognize seniors graduating from high school in Lamesa and the area.

Registration is now open for children to participate this summer in the special full-day program now being offered by the Lamesa Boys and Girls Club.
