Local graduates earn SPC honors

Several students from Lamesa and the surrounding area have been included on either the President’s List or Dean’s Lists for the 2020 Spring semester at South Plains College (SPC).

Randy Garcia of Lamesa and Katye Gruben of Odonnell are among more than 300 students named to the SPC President’s List.

Among more than 700 students on the SPC Dean’s List are:

Lamesa: Robert Guerra, Cameron McMillon, Isaiah Taylor, Deeanna Gonzales and Samson Luera;

Ackerly: Kelsey Doster;

O’Donnell: Ashleigh Jonas.

South Plains College is a two-year community college that serves the greater South Plains area of Texas with educational programs that span the arts and sciences, technical education, continuing education and workforce development.

Serving a 13-county area that comprises the southern portion of the Texas High Plains, the college’s main campus is located in Levelland. SPC also offers educational programs at two locations in Lubbock - the SPC Lubbock Center and the SPC Reese Center - as well as an extension center in Plainview.
