SEMINOLE – In the presence of a standing-room-only crowd, residents of Seminole spoke passionately against Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) proposed one-way relief route, and the city council listened intently. As a result, no one on the council, seated in front of the crowd of 100 plus citizens, made a motion to accept TxDOT’s resolution, and the much-debated issue died. The move was greeted with thunderous applause.

Dawson County Hospital District (DCHD) board members are finishing up the final business on the tax rate during a special meeting at 5 p.m., Tuesday meeting in the Medical Arts Hospital’s conference room at 2200 N. Bryan Ave.
