With four starters back from last year’s playoff team, expectations were high for the Lamesa High School boys basketball team coming into the 2021-2022 season.
After opening the season this past Tuesday night at Crane with a 13-3 win over the Golden Cranes, the relatively young Golden Tornadoes experienced some growing pains in the Shallowater Railyard Classic.
While the Golden Tornado girls should have at least 15 regional qualifiers in power lifting, Lamesa High School boys got their chance to shine Thursday at Sundown.
