After leading the Sands Mustangs to their first-ever state basketball championships, the trio of seniors Landry Morrow and Lili Porras and junior Elysa Martinez were named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches’ Class 1A All-State Basketball Team.
Golden Tornado sophomore Fasha Edwards won both the girls 100-meter dash as well as the triple jump at last Friday’s Levelland Lobo Relays.
The Golden Tornadoes’ baseball team pretty well matched Eunice, N.M. hit for hit here Monday evening.

Guadalupe Guerra Lopez passed away in her sleep on March 27, 2022 at St. Ann’s Nursing home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was 101 years of age.
James Isaac Hogg passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 24, 2022.
Funeral services for Peggy Ann Barron, 89, of Lamesa will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 10 a.m.
