James Hogg

    James Isaac Hogg passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 24, 2022. 
    James was born October 12, 1937, in Grayson, Louisiana. He grew up and graduated high school in Lamesa, TX. He married Deana Lee in 1957, his wife of 64 years, who survives him. 
    He is also survived by daughters, Jerine Kiser (Dan) of Las Cruces, NM and LaTreca Colleen Moore (Alan) of Chappell Hill, TX, as well as four grandchildren: Billy Kiser (Nicole) of San Antonio, TX, Kindell Buchanan (Kyle) of Spring Hill, TN, Connor Moore of Houston, TX, and Christine Kiser of Las Cruces, NM; and two great granddaughters: Cassidy and Allyson Kiser. He is also survived by one brother, E. L. Hogg, of Lamesa, TX. 
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Vera Hogg and sisters Mary Frances and Bertie Mae.
    James began his career as a radio DJ at KQEO in Albuquerque, NM and then went to trade school to become a broadcasting radio engineer. His career in Albuquerque included numerous radio stations, RJ Communications, and 46 years with Pan American Broadcasting (KDAZ Radio). James loved his vocation, but also enjoyed vacationing in Red River, NM, playing slots in Las Vegas and Albuquerque, and long destination vacations when the girls were still young enough to enjoy it! 
    The family wishes to thank his primary caregiver, Dr. Jay Wedel. They also want to thank his wonderful caregivers from Kindred Hospice--Nurse, Gladys and CNA, Juana. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to: Kindred Hospice, 665 E. University Avenue, Building 1, Las Cruces, NM 88005. 
    There will be a private family celebration of his life at a later date in Albuquerque.
