While Sands’ Riley Webb continues proving himself as one of the top middle distance runners in the area, the Mustangs’ Zander Barazza showed this past week that he should be somebody to watch as well at the upcoming District 8-1A Track & Field Championships. Webb won the 400 in 51.87 and the 800 in 2:05.08 at the Garden City Bearcat Relays on Thursday. Barazza won the 100 in 11.06 and 200 in 22.92. He also won the shot put with a throw of 38-11.
