The Lamesa Municipal Golf Course hosted its first tournament this past weekend since COVID-19 put a halt to local golf tournaments a year ago. Apparently golfers were excited about getting started again as 72 golfers teed off here on Saturday and Sunday in the Memorial Tournament. Although top honors went to a couple of out-of-towners, local golfers ended up faring quite well. Big Spring’s Ryan Williams and Justin Myers shot a two-day total of 125 for one-shot victory in the championship flight.
