Going into the final week of district play, the Golden Tornado football team’s magic number was one.A Lamesa victory against longtime rival Brownfield Friday night and the Golden Tors would be in playoffs.Unfortunately, Brownfield is the team heading to the playoffs.Two late fourth-quarter Cub touchdowns helped Brownfield capture a 41-22 victory on their home field.
