The Golden Tornadoes’ tennis squad opened its fall schedule here last Saturday morning against Class 4A Levelland. Although the Golden Tors fell just short of winning that dual match, seven matches to five, Tor Coach Jose Lucio labeled it a good day for the home team. “Levelland always has a really good tennis team but our kids competed really hard against them,” Lucio said of the fall opener. “We were real proud of how our kids came out ready to play.” The Golden Tors got some quality wins against the Loboes.
