It doesn’t seem that long ago that local baseball fans were watching Steve Garcia work his glove magic at first base as a player for the Golden Tornadoes.Now the 2001 Lamesa High School graduate is starting his first season as Lamesa High School’s head baseball coach.This coming Friday is the first day for high school baseball workouts across the state.“The closer that I get to Friday the more excited I get.
