The Sands Mustangs finished their regular season on a high note Tuesday night at Wellman-Union with a 73-22 win.Sands, now 17-15 overall and 7-3 in District 8A, was up 46-18 at the half.“After giving up 18 points in the first half, we only gave up four points in the second half,” Sands Coach Billy Grumbles said. “Our guys started doing a better job of playing defense.”The Mustangs will take on longtime rival Klondike at 8 p.m. Friday at O’Donnell to determine District 8A’s playoff seeding.
