Both the Sands Mustangs and Borden County Coyotes will have to wait a couple of days longer before taking their second step in the Class 1A basketball playoffs. Last Thursday evening the Coyote girls blew out Meadow in bi-district. By Repeating as the District 8-1A champs, Sands girls earned a bye in the opening round. Both squads were scheduled to play Tuesday, but due to the icy conditions those games had to be rescheduled. They’re both now planning to play Thursday evening.
