Due mainly to conflicts with district meets, O’Donnell Coach Perri Clark expected to see a drop in the number of schools participating in this year’s Romp Through The Park at Lamesa’s Forrest Park. “Our deadline for this weekend’s not until tomorrow (Wednesday) at noon but our meet looks like it’s going to be a lot smaller than it’s been in the past,” Clark said. “It looks like we’re going to still have a lot of private or home schools running in this meet. “As of today, we’ve registered 385 runners and 20 different schools compared to last year when we registered 826.
