When the Golden Tornado baseball team finished the season in the second round of the Class 3A playoffs Josh Marquez was one of 13 seniors who thought that their high school playing days were over. But Marquez received a text message this past Sunday from his high school head coach Bobby Alvarez which changed all of that. “I just happened to be in the batting cage at the time. Coach texted me to congratulate me about suiting up one more time,” Marquez said. Marquez has been selected to participate in the Greater West Texas Baseball Coaches Association’s All-Star Baseball Game at 1 p.m.
