Towering at 6-foot-6, Bruce Marmolejo was often associated with basketball whenever he was growing up here.The past 10 years Marmolejo has proven himself as a quality golfer as well.As much as height obviously helps on the hardwoods, or on the diamond where he once pitched, this 2001 Lamesa High School graduate says it helps out on the greens as well.Marmolejo teamed up with his partner Lubbock’s Mike Gonzales to win last weekend’s annual Wayne Hogg Memorial Golf Tournament at the Lamesa Municipal Golf Course.
