Going from winning only three games a year ago to reaching the second round of the basketball playoffs this winter took a great deal of guts and determination for the Lamesa High School girls.They showed that same characteristic early in Thursday’s Class 3A Area Playoff against tradition rich Shallowater at Brownfield.It was only a one-point game early on in the second quarter after a basket by Golden Tor junior Fashaa Edwards made the score 10-9.
