Lamesa’s Mariela Gonzales won the triple crown of sorts this past Tuesday night at Shallowater’s Junior High Relays.Gonzales won the seventh grade girls’ long jump at 14- 1, the triple jump at 30-7 and the 800 meters with a time of 2:47.3.Jillian Patterson won the seventh grade girls 400 with a time of 1:15.Rolling up 162 points, Lamesa’s seventh grade girls finished second in the team standings.“We’ve got a pretty good seventh grade bunch which is really coming on.
