Three years after starting his coaching career here, Avery Gutierrez now has his first high school head baseball coaching job. Gutierrez told the Press-Reporter he’s been named the head coach at Class 3A Lubbock Roosevelt High School. Gutierrez, who played baseball for four years at Wayland Baptist University, said it’s going to be tough to leave the Golden Tors. “I loved it here.
