Both Lamesa High School’s boys and girls golf squads open up District 3-3A play Monday morning at Seminole’s Gaines County Golf Course.Although the Golden Tors didn’t play their best golf this past week, Lamesa Coach Jason Froman still remains fairly upbeat about his squad’s chances.“Coming into this season we felt like our girls had a good shot at doing something as a team, but as it’s turning out everybody’s girls are playing really good,” Froman said. “We’d like to see our two senior girls Emily Contreras and Helen Vargas advance but it’s going to take them playing their best.”Only 3-3A’s ...
