Three out of the four Golden Tor golfers played some of the best golf of their young careers Wednesday at Denver City’s Yoakum County Golf Course. Freshmen Justin Peterson and Joshua Balderas turned in their best rounds Wednesday with respective scores of 105 and 113. Senior Kathleen Hernandez and freshman Helen Vargas both shot a 125. For Vargas it was the best round of her young high school golfing career. “We’re getting better. Sometimes it just takes little while to get there,” Golden Tor Coach Jason Froman said.
