Led by three gold individual winners, the Golden Tornado girls turned in a strong second place showing at Thursday’s power lifting meet at Hawley.“Our girls did a good job at this meet especially up against some very good competition. We ended up getting second place by beating a lot of big (Class) 6A schools,” Lamesa Coach Michael Aleman said.Lamesa’s three girls who won their respective weight divisions were Erin Iglesias, Jisell Ramirez and Ariella Vidaurre.“All three set new P.R.s.
