It’s been a rewarding season for Allison Hancock in her first year as the O’Donnell Eagles’ girls basketball coach. For three quarters Thursday afternoon at Slaton’s Tiger Pit, it appeared the Eagles were going to extend their season into the second round of the Class 1A playoffs. The Eagle girls had the lead against Jayton at the end of each of the first three quarters: 11-9 after the first, 22-19 at the half, and 29-26 after three quarters.
