Mario Dimas’s team shot a 27 Wednesday evening to win the Lamesa Municipal Golf Course’s weekly golf scramble. Others on the winning team were Joe Soliz, Manuel Vasquez and Henry Villalobos. This week’s closest-to-the-pin winners were Jackie Batchelor on hole number two at six feet one and a half inches and Bobby Hawkins on hole number seven at two feet nine inches. Course Superintendent Victor Dimas announced this past week that the Cotton Picker Golf Tournament which was scheduled for this weekend had been cancelled.
