The Dawson girls basketball team got fourth in its Dawson Dragon Classic last weekend at Welch.The Dragons lost Saturday’s third place game to Amherst, 31-15.Leslie Armendariz had eight points, Sonya Moore had four points and Anahi Gonzales scored three.“After playing as well as we have been here lately we didn’t in this game. Offensively, we weren’t as aggressive as we needed to be and defensively we looked flat,” Dawson Coach Jazmine Dela Rosa said.Dawson’s boys lost their final game in the tournament to Southland.The Dragons will be back in action Tuesday night when they’ll host Wilson at Welch.
