Having a dad who played ball in the Southeastern Conference, Jonathan Davis (J.D.) felt he was pretty much born to be a college basketball player. The 2020 Lamesa High School graduate is going to get that opportunity. Davis signed a letter of intent late last week with Wayland Baptist University at Plainview. “This is pretty big to my whole family mainly because it’s a chance that I didn’t know if I was going to get,” Davis said. “They invited me up there for a visit.
