Cougars roll past Groom, head to state quarterfinals

The Klondike Cougars continue enjoying the sweet taste of revenge.Last week the Cougars opened up the Division II state six-man football playoffs by knocking off a Whitharral team which beat them in October.Friday night the Cougars had another score against Groom, the same team which ended their seson in the second round of the playoffs last year.The Cougars did just that by knocking off Groom, 72- 58, Friday night at Dimmitt.Klondike was ranked eighth and Groom ninth in this week’s Class 1A Division II state poll.“Turnovers made a big difference.
