There was a two-way tie at the top of this week’s Lamesa Press-Reporter Football Contest. Tim Chaplin and Vonna Turney were among the 10 entrants who went 11-1 this week. But Chaplin and Turner guessed the closest on the tie-breaker which saw Sweetwater top Lamesa, 45-8. After Chaplin guessed 54 points and Turney 52 on that tie-breaker they split this week’s top cash prize. They’ll get a check for $17.50 each for their efforts.
