The Borden County Coyotes’ softball squad opened up its season Tuesday at Gail with a new coach.After coaching the Coyotes’ baseball team the past nine years, Bubba Edwards is now the school’s softball coach.“I’m looking at this as a good opportunity to be around Callie and her friends more,” Coach Edwards said of his daughter, who’s a junior for the Coyotes.The Coyote softballers lost their season opener Tuesday evening to Class 2A Tahoka, 14-4.“I’m still pretty pleased tonight. We just ran across somebody tonight who can flat drive the softball,” Edwards said.The Bulldogs scored one run in the first inning,
