Borden County and O’Donnell athletes advanced to next weekend’s Region I-1A Track & Field Championships at South Plains College in Levelland after strong performances at Thursday’s area track meet in Petersburg.Borden County’s Brette Kaite Behrens won the girls long jump and ran legs on the Coyotes’ winning 800 and 1.600-meter relays.Others on those relay teams were Kenzie White, Kambell Schmidt and Haven Hill.Schmidt also won the 400.Rexie Sanders also won the shot put.“For as any girls as we have running track this year I thought we had a really good day,” Borden County Coach Lindsey Schmidt said.
