Borden County’s boys and Sands’ girls were two of the hottest high school basketball squads in this area this winter. Between the two of them they won a whopping 53 ball games. Coach Bubba Edwards’ 27-5 Coyote boys finished a fourth straight season in the regional tournament. Coach Ben Connell’s young 26-5 Sands girls capped off a highly successful season of their own by going three rounds deep in the playoffs.
