A somewhat short-handed Golden Tornado girls basketball made the District 3-3A trip to Littlefield Friday evening where a big first half helped the Wildcats claw out a 52-20 victory.
Ranked number one in the state in Class 1A, the Sands High School girls basketball team showed they certainly are worthy of the ranking as they rolled past sixth-ranked Borden County, 52-24, Friday evening at Gail.
