Organizers of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations at Forrest Park are seeing increases in participation for some activities.In addition to a parade through downtown, Tuesday’s festivities at Forrest Park include vendors, a pageant at the park pavilion, a baking contest and various athletic events. The celebrations ends with a fireworks display, sponsored by Raider Pump and Supply, at 9:30 p.m. at the rodeo grounds.“Get your red, white and blue ready!
