The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Commodity Credit Corporation recently announced that the marketing assistance loan rate for 2023-crop base quality upland cotton is 52.00 cents per pound.
The USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Texas has announced fiscal year 2023 financial assistance opportunities for farmers, ranchers and landowners for the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Environmental Quality Incentives Program – Conservation Incentives Program (EQIP-CIC) and Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP).
In its October crop report, USDA’s production estimate is virtually unchanged at 13.8 million bales, less than 1 percent lower than a month earlier. Upland production was estimated at 13.34 million bales and extra-long staple production at 468,000 bales.
