Work is being finalized on the engineering plans for some major improvements to the City of Lamesa’s water supply system, but actual construction is not expected to get underway anytime soon. “We probably won’t be seeing any dirt being pushed on the project until next year,” City Manager Shawna D. Burkhart told the Press-Reporter this week.
