A Midland woman reportedly fell asleep and the Honda mini-van she was driving veered into the path of a Lamesa Butane truck on Monday afternoon. The woman was taken by Medical Arts Hospital EMS ambulance to O’Donnell, Lamesa Fire Chief Larry Duyck said, where the ambulance was met by a medical helicopter to transfer the woman to a Lubbock hospital. Duyck said the woman was awake and talking with first responders at the scene. The driver of the truck did not require any medical treatment, Duyck said.
