Ten utility poles were toppled or broken by high winds late Tuesday evening along the east side of Highway 137 about 12 miles north of Lamesa, at the highway’s intersection with FM 1066. Thunderstorms with high winds, locally heavy rain and some hail have roamed across the region during the past two days.
