Wind causes damage

For the second time in less than a week, high wind accompanying thunderstorms caused a variety of damage across Dawson County during the early-morning hours Tuesday. With sustained winds of 57 miles per hour, a peak wind gust of 72 mph was recorded at 12:25 a.m. Tuesday by the West Texas Mesonet automated weather station at Welch.
