Two weeks after reviewing a dozen construction bids for work on a longawaited water improvement project, Lamesa City Council members Tuesday approved three contractors to work on the project. The council, basing their decisions on recommendations from an engineering firm’s representative, selected two companies from Midland and one from Grand Prairie. Bids accepted totaled over $11 million, according to Holly Holder with the engineering firm of Parkhill, Smith and Cooper of Lubbock.
