The Mesa Underground Water Conservation District has begun its annual water level measurements across the county, according to General Manager Jacob Hernandez.Hernandez told the district’s board members during their regular meeting Wednesday that he already has checked the groundwater level in 40 wells and will be continuing those measurements in other wells.Early each year the district checks water levels in more than 100 designated monitoring wells to help keep track of changes in the aquifer here.Results from those mea surements are normally posted on the district’s website and are distributed through a flyer which the district distributes through the Lamesa ...
