Mesa Underground Water Conservation District board members agreed to increase the general manager’s salary during their Sept. 6 meeting.They agreed to the three-percent salary increase for General Manager Jacob Hernandez, along with keeping the $10,000 bonus unchanged from last year.They made the decision after returning from a closed door executive session where they discussed Hernandez’ job evaluation. Two weeks ago, the board agreed to increase Administrative Secretary Yolanda Tapia’s $23,800 salary by 10-percent plus add on a $2,500 performance bonus.Hernandez has been the district’s general manager for six years.
