Early voting has gotten off to a very light start in the statewide Democratic Party primary election runoff which began Monday. As of late Tuesday afternoon, Dawson County Clerk Clare Christy said, only one person had voted here. Originally scheduled for May 26, the runoff was delayed by Gov. Greg Abbott until July 14 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In Dawson County, that runoff election features only two statewide races.
