It seems COVID-19 isn’t finished in either derailing or changing how people honor certain events. It turned graduation into a parade of cars, altered homecoming by excluding the traditional dance and completely canceled Halloween. Now the pandemic is targeting Veteran’s Day. In past years, local schools hosted events honoring U.S. military veterans. The high school’s culinary class served up breakfast omelettes to veterans while the middle and North Elementary schools held assemblies complete with speakers who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
