Dawson County voters generally agreed with their counterparts across Texas in the top statewide races on the ballots in Tuesday’s party primary elections.Handily winning their respective crowded primary races without a runoff, incumbent Republican Governor Greg Abbott will face a challenge from Democrat nominee Beto O’Rourke during the general election in November.Abbott received over 75 percent of the Dawson County votes in the Republican primary as he turned back seven challengers.
