A group of firefighters spray water on charred kitchen cabinets pulled from inside a small RV-type trailer that was discovered to be on fi re about 7:40 p.m. this past Wednesday at an RV park in the 700 block of South Dallas Avenue. Lamesa Fire Chief Larry Duyck said the blaze apparently ignited in a water-heater compartment on the outside of the 2004 Fleetwood trailer. Although fi re damage was contained to that immediate area, the entire interior apparently sustained extensive smoke damage estimated at about $8,000.
