SEMINOLE - Since Aug. 25, three individuals on the Seminole ISD campus or school premises have tested positive for COVID-19. The case on Aug. 25 was a ninth-grade student at the high school, and on Aug. 29 one of the groundskeepers at the district’s maintenance department was confirmed to have the virus. The most recent positive case, an eleventh grader at the high school, was confirmed on Sunday. Due to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, Seminole ISD is not permitted to release individual names, and the district has referred the cases to the South Plains Public Health District.
