Youths attending Vacation Bible School at the Lamesa Church of Christ compiled first-responder baskets for the police department, sheriff’s office, fire department and emergency medical services personnel as they responded to the aftermath of a storm June 26 that took off roofs, downed trees, disrupted power and displaced families from flooded homes.
