A candy store and a bakery, both catering to the Valentine’s Day buyer looking for sweets for their sweethearts, are named after a wife and mother. Namesakes seem to fall in line with Valentine’s Day. The day is actually named after the martyred patron saint of epilepsy and plagues who ignored a third century Roman emperor’s ban against performing Christian weddings.
