A Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) official presented Lamesa school board members Thursday with a preliminary calendar regarding the search for a new school superintendent.The board recently hired TASB to help with notifying potential candidates about the job opening, reviewing applications and scheduling future interviews.After heading the school district for almost seven years, Jim Knight resigned as superintendent at the end of September.Board members installed Interim Superintendent Dalia Benavides, a former Lamesa school teacher and retired school superintendent, to take over the job until a replacement is found.
