Culinary students at Lamesa High School are hosting a luncheon fundraiser to help cover the costs of two upcoming competitions.The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members will be cooking and selling brisket burrito meals from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. this Sunday at Pedroza’s restaurant at 1502 Lubbock Hwy.“It’s just a fundraiser that we’re doing for the barbecue teams and for FCCLA,” said high school culinary teacher and FCCLA sponsor Kevin Pedroza. “The funds go to the FCCLA activity fund.”The sale of the $10 meals will help fund a trip to the state FCCLA competition scheduled in ...
